An AI assistant for Google Calendar that defends your time, not just fills it
Most AI calendar tools can create an event. Jarvi checks whether that event should exist where you put it — then tells you what it would collide with, and what to do about it. It works on your real Google Calendar, from a normal chat message.
The problem with "AI calendar assistants"
Almost every tool in this category does one thing: it turns a sentence into a calendar event. That is the easy half. The hard half is everything that happens when your calendar is already full — which, if you need an assistant at all, it is.
Book a call at 2pm and a naïve tool writes it at 2pm, on top of the focus block you protected last week, and says "Done!". You find out three days later. The event was created correctly and the outcome was still wrong.
Grim, Jarvi's calendar agent, checks before it writes. Every scheduling request runs through collision detection against your actual connected calendars first, and what happens next depends on what kind of clash it is — because "these two things overlap" and "these two things conflict" are not the same statement.
Conflicts, handled the way a person would handle them
A 30-minute doctor's appointment inside a four-hour study block is not a scheduling error. A second meeting on top of an existing meeting is. Grim tells them apart and responds differently:
- Nested inside a longer block — it offers to fold it in, keep both, move the new one out, or move the existing one. It never deletes something you created without asking.
- A real collision — it proposes concrete alternative slots it has verified are actually free, rather than telling you there is a problem and leaving you to solve it.
- Something genuinely urgent — say it is urgent and Grim treats the new event as the priority, offering to move what is in the way instead of defending the old booking by default.
- A pattern it has seen before — if you have chosen "keep both" for the same block three times, it stops asking and just does it. Learned once, per block, not a global setting you had to find.
Time blocking that respects how long things take
Ask for study time and Grim looks at the gaps that genuinely exist between your commitments, then fills them. It can split long stretches into real Pomodoro cycles — twenty-five minutes of work, five of break, repeating — or whatever lengths you prefer, without letting the last block spill past the thing it has to finish before.
For exams it works backwards from the date: tell it what you are sitting and when, and it distributes preparation across the weeks in between rather than dumping it all into the final panic-week. If it can't fit everything, it says so and asks what to compress or drop instead of quietly cutting corners.
It also learns your travel time. Book something at a new location and it remembers how long the trip took, so the next time it schedules around that place it leaves a realistic buffer instead of a guess.
Many calendars, sorted automatically
Most people who need a calendar assistant have more than one calendar. Jarvi groups yours into domains — University, Work, Health, Personal, whatever fits — and routes each new event to the right one without being told. A lecture goes to the university calendar; a dentist appointment does not.
It also watches for changes you make in Google directly. Rename a calendar in the Google UI, and instead of silently working from a stale picture, Jarvi notices and asks whether to bring its own setup in line. You can move whole groups of events between calendars in one instruction when a structure stops fitting.

Nothing to migrate, nothing to lock into
Jarvi connects through Google's official API and writes to the calendar you already use. Events appear on your phone, in your laptop's calendar app, in the meeting invites you send — everywhere your calendar already reaches. There is no parallel copy living inside a startup's database, and if you stopped using Jarvi tomorrow your calendar would be exactly where you left it.
It runs inside the chat app you already have open. Telegram is the flagship, with WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger also live. There is no separate calendar app to check, because the whole point is not having one.

Does it use my real Google Calendar? Yes — through Google's official API. Nothing is copied into a proprietary system.
